Chinese Zodiac Sign 101: Finding the Precious Flower for Your Fortune and Success

Chinese Zodiac and Its Origins

    • Also known as Sheng Xiao, the Chinese zodiac is an astrology system with a twelve-year cycle where each year is associated with an animal sign.
    • These 12 Chinese zodiac signs include (in order): Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. Every after 12 years, the cycle gets repeated.
    • Different versions of its origins are recorded. One source claims that the Chinese astrology was originally created during the Han Dynasty (202BC – 220AD) in order to establish a system for counting years. The ancient people placed significance to the number 12, where there are 12 moons within a year and 12 time periods within a day called as shi chen.
    • Another perspective of Chinese astrology origins is rooted in mythology. It was said that God was about to create a calendar when he invited all creatures to participate in a racing game. The first 12 animals who crossed the line were given signs, which are now recognized in the Chinese zodiac.

12 Chinese Zodiac Signs and Their Lucky Flowers

1. Rat

Year: 2020, 2008, 1996, 1984, 1972, 1960, 1948, 1936, 1924

Personality:

Rats are gifted with intelligence and versatility that make them easily adapt to changing environments. They are also highly creative and are able to perform well in almost anything. Since they are fast to grab opportunities, rats are excellent in building wealth, especially in the field of entrepreneurship. Although generally recognized as a kind animal sign, their poor communication skills can sometimes make them sound rude.

Lucky Flowers:

If you are born in the year of the rat, blooms of lilies of any variant and African violets will bring you good fortune this 2020! These two florals both indicate devotion, a value that fuels rats to achieve their goals.

Did You Know? Lilies are commonly used in Chinese weddings since they are believed to bind the couples to 100 years of love.

But the same reason also causes them to be stubborn where they feel that their way is the bt one there is.

Personality:

Whenever a tiger Chinese zodiac is in the room, they never fail to elude courage, charm, and confidence. Tigers are generally the type of leaders who seldom express themselves, all the while holding so much authority. Due to their strong personality, they are willing to fight for the causes they believe in. This can make them appear rebellious and irritable. If others would even put it, tigers can be quite hard to handle.

Lucky Flowers:

A competitive tiger only deserves eye-catching flowers in the form of yellow lily, cineraria, and anthuriums.

4. Rabbit

Year:  2023, 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, 1963

The rabbit Chinese zodiac sign is well-liked by everyone due to their gentle and pleasing personalities. They can be sentimental as evident in their unfaltering faith to their family and friends.
